Formed on the
2nd December 1987. Its
objectives are to promote and protect the interests of the
residents in relation to any, or any, proposed developments
affecting the Parish of Glazebrook. We have had the wholehearted
support of the residents over the last thirteen years. We have
been successful in preventing the Gypsy site proposed for Holcroft
Lane, Warrington Borough Councils proposal to give us away to
Salford, the Dept. of Transport from putting a motorway through
the middle of the village, and we have also helped to reduce the
height of the collier tips on the edge of the village. We have
been successful in our fight to oppose Warrington Borough Council’s
Local Plan in regard to erecting up to 800 houses in the middle of
the village. |
